Audience: New and existing members of ClayWorks Collective, a cooperative pottery studio.

Business Problem: Recent lapses in compliance with cleaning procedures have led to hazardous conditions, damaged tools, workflow disruptions, and lower morale. As a result, complaints have increased, and membership has declined, causing financial strain on the company due to lost fees and costly equipment repairs.

Solution: By improving training, the company aims to increase member compliance by 50%. Doing so would reduce damage and hazards, retain members, and stabilize membership fees.

Highlights: This course includes triggers, interactions, knowledge checks, a final assessment, voice over narration, and real-life scenario examples.

Process: The development of this e-Learning course for ClayWorks Collective followed a structured process, starting with a needs analysis with SMEs to identify learning gaps and set goals. Based on this, the course was designed, storyboarded, and developed in Articulate Storyline, featuring interactive, scenario-based elements. Once published, it will be implemented according to compliance standards. The course includes knowledge checks and a scenario-based assessment with an 80% passing score.

I implemented Kirkpatrick's Level 2 and Level 3 assessments by conducting a three-month post-training evaluation in which the studio manager monitored members' compliance with cleanup and safety protocols, while analyzing membership rates before and after training for retention. Members were also surveyed to assess improvements in studio conditions, and repeat compliance issues were addressed with potential membership suspension or cancellation.

Audience: Employees of a counter service frozen yogurt shop.

Business Problem: Sweet Swirls recently introduced a new vegan yogurt but is not meeting its sales goals because employees are not consistently preparing the product correctly, customers are unaware that it is offered, and employees are unable to effectively answer customer questions about the new vegan yogurt.

Solution: The goal for Sweet Swirls is to increase the sale of its recently introduced vegan yogurt by 50%. Success will be achieved when employees are properly trained on preparing the new product, promoting it to customers, and confidently answering customer inquiries about the vegan yogurt options.

Highlights: Interactive learning with practice scenarios, knowledge checks, and a graded assessment.

Process: This e-Learning course for the Sweet Swirls Vegan Frozen Yogurt product was developed using a structured approach, beginning with a design document to define objectives and outline the content. The course was created in Articulate Rise, incorporating interactive features to engage learners.

Upon publication, the course will be rolled out in line with the company's compliance standards. It includes knowledge checks throughout and concludes with a final quiz, requiring an 80% passing score to ensure product understanding.

I applied Kirkpatrick's Level 2 and Level 3 assessments by evaluating the training's effectiveness through tracking product launch performance, gathering customer feedback, and assessing staff readiness. These metrics provided valuable insights into the success and impact of the training.
